Voices of Faith, Reflections on Lockdown by a Christian, a Muslim and a Jew

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
Amen

The Lord be with you

And also with you

Almighty Lord and everlasting God, we beseech you to direct,
sanctify and govern both our hearts and bodies in the ways of your laws and the works of your commandments;
that through your most mighty protection, both here and ever,
we may be preserved in body and soul;
through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Amen.

Anthem: Ralph Vaughan Williams – O Taste And See
The Cambridge Singers

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

Amen.

The peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep our hearts and mind in the knowledge and love of God,
and of his son Jesus Christ our Lord;
and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, be among us and remain with us always. Amen.

Go in the peace of Christ

Thanks be to God

NOTICES FOR WEEK BEGINNING 2nd August

GOOD NEWS – ST HILDA’S WILL BE RE-OPENING ON SUNDAY 23rd AUGUST – All being well!
It will be in a different style of worship, there will be no singing, orcommunion at first.  There will however be music, a little different to what we’ve been used to, and perhaps in a more reflective way.
Every precaution is being made to make it a safe place to be and of course everyone must continue to keep at a safe distance.
More information will follow with a letter from the vicar in the near future.

CLEANING THE CHURCH
If you are able to help please come along at 2pm or any time you can, on Monday, but please don’t feel you must. If you are uncomfortable about this, or vulnerable we understand.
Please bring a face covering and gloves.

A MESSAGE FROM ANDII

Hi folks,

Just wondering if you might have 5 mins or so to help out a Masters’ student doing some research on childhood attachment and Christian faith in adults.

See details below. It’s fairly simple and genuinely about 5minutes long. If you could pass it along to others, I’m sure that would be appreciated.
