Anthem: Hallelujah Chorus
Written by Kay Plumley
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever.
The peace of God,
which passes all understanding,
keep your hearts and minds
in the knowledge and love of God,
and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord;
and the blessing of God almighty,
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
be among you and remain with you always.
Go in the peace of Christ
Thanks be to God
Statement from Bishop Christine:
We join with the whole nation and friends across the world in expressing our sorrow at the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip.
“The Duke of Edinburgh’s devotion and steadfast support of the Queen is one of the greatest love stories of our time. By her side, he served our nation with dedication and deep loyalty. His commitment to duty, together with his lively wit and down to earth approach, have been part of the life of our nation for nearly seventy years. I pray today with gratitude for his life, for Her Majesty and the Royal Family in their loss, and for all who mourn.”
Recently I hadn’t been able to contact Kathrine and after a day or two I received a telephone call from Penny (her daughter) to say she was in hospital. Kathrine had had a fall, three in fact and was very dehydrated No broken bones, but disorientated. The hospital are now looking to get her mobile again.
Penny asked me to let everyone know.

Poverty is rising in the North East. Families are struggling to buy basic requirements and the need for Food Banks is increasing. Please help if you are able by adding a few extra tins or packets each week to your shopping and bring them to church when we open again.
There are many people who have lost their jobs during Covid19 through no fault of their own and who need help… CAN YOU HELP?
